About Us
Our Vision
Keystone Counselling Services Ltd. was founded by Paul Martin (MC, CCC) and Sarah Martin (BSW, RSW, PM), a husband and wife team with a heart to help individuals and families thrive. They chose “keystone” referring to the crucial centre stone in a bridge that connects one side to the other, reflecting their belief that Jesus Christ is that needed help to move us from where we are now to where we want to be. Biblically based and clinically informed, the counsellors at Keystone offer support and care for individuals and families of all faiths grounded in the belief that every person is created in the image of God giving them value, hope and a future.

Paul Martin MC, CCC
As a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and Counselling Therapist with the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta (ACTA), I am dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical practice. With a Master's degree in Counselling from City University of Seattle and certification as a Basic Accelerated Resolution Practitioner, I offer specialized techniques to help you achieve your goals for effective living.
With over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients. My passion lies in engaging with individuals and groups as they develop skills for effective living and cultivate a sense of hope. I have extensive experience supporting survivors of trauma, individuals struggling with substance use, substance-affected family members, and those seeking to boost their self-confidence and lead productive lives.
I'm excited to be a part of the Keystone team offering Mediation Services & Supportive Counselling services which can include NeurOptimal® brain training for stress reduction and enhanced focus/resilience.
With my bachelors degree in Social Work, I have worked in a number of different areas including geriatrics, palliative care, and employment counselling, but mostly within the mental health & addictions field. I was a Registered Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers for a number of years and am now a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
In 2025 I completed my Mediation Certificate from ADR Learning Institute and am registered as a Practicing Mediator with Alberta Family Mediation Society.
